RC General - Safety

RC General Contractors is committed to creating a safe work environment for the benefit of both our employees and our clients. RC General’s safety program is fully compliant with all Local, State and Federal safety laws. Our superintendents hold weekly safety meetings on the job site. The safety director, or his or her designated representative, also makes weekly inspections of job sites and equipment. As part of our ongoing commitment to quality, we also hold monthly mock OSHA inspections conducted by an independent safety consultant.

RC General Contractors’ substance abuse policy follows all guidelines and utilizes the services set forth by the Charleston Labor Education and Development (L.E.A.D.) drug program and is in compliance with the Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs and/or standard industry practices. All employees under go pre-employment testing and participate in random drug testing. All RC General managers and supervisors are trained to recognize drug and alcohol related signs and symptoms. All our employees have completed first aid, CPR, as well as forklift and scaffold training, and all supervisors have completed the 10 hour safety course on OSHA regulations.
